Every 4th Saturday of the month AlSadaqa serves supper at the Issaquah Community Hall for the hungry with the help of our wonderful volunteers.

As Ben Franklin said, "You tell me and I forget. You teach me and I remember. You involve me and I learn." I am sure that this is going to be a great experience for your children and they will indeed learn a lot from this experience. (The age limit is 9 years or older)

Every 4th Saturday of the month AlSadaqa serves supper at the Issaquah Community Hall for the hungry. We have been doing this for quite some time now with the help of wonderful brothers, sisters and children who volunteer to cook and serve every month.

This is indeed a great opportunity for us all to take part in helping our community. It is also a rewarding opportunity for our fortunate younger generation to have a personal experience with the hungry and homeless people in our area.

Each time, we serve food to almost 50 people. Most of the time the food is cooked by our volunteers and we can reimburse them for their expenses if they wish. Other times we get the food catered, which rarely happens since our volunteers are always ready to cook. We usually need 4 volunteers for cooking/food. For serving we usually need about 5-6 adults and children (9 years or older) are always welcome to help serve food!

Please let us know if you are interested in cooking or serving food at mealsprogram@alsadaqa.org
